Organization and operation

The Order is administered by a Board of Directors consisting of 24 members. To help see to that the Order works smoothly, the Board has created committees. Each has a very specific responsibility, defined by the Professional Code or the Board itself.

The Order has six regional chapters: Central Quebec, Eastern Townships, Montreal, Outaouais, Quebec and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and two active regional councils, Eastern Quebec and Abitibi-Témiscamingue. They ensure the regional visibility of the Order and contribute significantly to expanding the reputation of the profession among both post-secondary institutions and employers. There are also student committees, consisting of students who very actively represent the Order in the universities. The Order's functional diagram illustrates the structure of the Order's organization.

Its forty some permanent staff members are directed by the president-executive director. The organization chart illustrates how the responsibilities of the staff are distributed.
