CMAs in figures

The 2009 Remuneration Survey conducted by CROP paints an accurate and full picture of the professional situation of CMAs and shows that the youngest accounting profession in Quebec bears comparison with its competitors. Socio-demographic profile, employment profile, remuneration according to approximately ten variables, benefits and recognition of the designation by employers, the survey has it all. Here are some interesting facts from the survey:

  • CMAs are enjoying a situation of full employment, no more, no less, with an employment rate of 98% at the time of the survey.
  • Two thirds of CMAs work in the service sector.
  • The CMA designation is worth its weight in gold since the average remuneration for CMAs with more than 10 years of experience reaches $122,715.
  • CMAs are sought-after managers, since more than two thirds of them supervise work teams made up of an average of 14 people.
